A stowed and drawn functionality (driven by HUD) will help free up your hands when you don't want to hold it. When you do, an animation overrider HUD will help keep you keep your staff where you want it.

The HUDS are a mess, and the animations are a mess.
Other than looking cool, it's totally worthless.
Complicated but detailed and beautiful.
This is a great looking staff that offers a lot of customization but is fairly enigmatic and can be a pain to sort out.
For those who are having trouble with changing the crystal colors, click on the staff and change the TEXTURE. The crystal's color is hardbaked into the texture but can be affected with the tints. However, the staff offers a variety of texture color options to accomodate this.

Another Masterpiece
Most of the times when people see you with a staff, they go "oh, another mage. Booooooring." But when they see you with THIS staff and the large crystal at its peak, they tend to go "Oh... I should probably be nice to this person... they look like they know what they're doing." From the wisps to the glow to the extensive texture options to choose from, you can embody virtually any magical aspect your mage character might indulge in. I love ALL the staffs made by Eldritch, but this is by far my favorite due to its sheer versatility. The AO hud takes some getting used to, but it's simple to learn. This is THE staff for the Arch-mages out there.

Where are the poses for the staff?!
The color picker is off and doesn't work right at all.
The Staff HUD doesn't do much, and the ad says you can equip the staff nicely. where are the poses then.

Great staff!
Staff is highly customizable. You can click on it to change textures and use the HUD to tint them and resize the staff. It looks great and is a good addition to any aspiring magician.
Only bad stuff is the HUDs. They are a bit intrusive and in the case of the AO HUD even cryptic.
But these are just minor problems. It is a bit expensive, but will serve you well.
