Not worth it
Yeah, this was not worth 9L$ and I'd be madder if it wasn't so cheap, but it ends up costing me more to find a script that DOES work. And I say that because after almost an hour of math, configuration, and futile attempts, the elevator refused to work at all. I was not satisfied with this purchase and the only thing I'm impressed with is price. However, I now have to pay more to fix a problem I already had.
Easily the best 17 L$ I've spent in SL
Super easy to figure out. It just takes a little bit of trial and error. I got mine up and running properly in less than 10 minutess. Thank you!
Can't believe only 17 lindens
Yes I had some issue, but none of them were product issues, it was me not understanding things.
Thanks to ofnihility who posted some really good advice that helped me along the way. Yes only two floors but come on, 17 lindens? still a bargain. If the ride is bumpy, slow it down some. I got mine so feet don't go into the floor and I don't jump a bit. Great product. Advice: Get it right on each floor, then set speed for nice ride, then adjust for floors again. Slow ride is better, and makes floor height more accurate.
Works for avatars and physical objects
This means you can make an airplane or car lift with it. It will work as long as the vehicle is physical (usually: when the engine is running)
great script for a great price
most is always written by previous reviewers.
Just one:
To test this script, I put it into a simple cube prim. Then activated the elevator, but only got a script error: "Only linksets which uses the new prim equivalency system may be animated."
After searching a bit, I found that the animated prim has to be a mesh. Why? Don't know. But if you get this error, then replace your standard prim with a mesh, and voila: it moves.
