The first all-prim Mandolin in second life! What is an "all-prim" instrument? All-prim instruments (like all the instruments I make) are made without flat, transparent "alpha" textures, that create that "cardboard cutout" musical instrument look. All-prim instruments look fantastic from every angle.
This "F-style" or "Florentine Style" Mandolin was carefully crafted for maximum accuracy. Every detail from the curve of the f-holes, to the inlay in the headstock, is carefully reproduced... the f-holes even have shadows inside! All textures were custom made for this project. A few sculpted prims complete the accuracy of the look (particularly around the tuning keys).
Features custom mandolin playing animations made just for this project! No guitar animations were recycled here. You can play the instrument in silent animated play if you are a live performer or wish to play along with a stream.
Also included are 4 extended musical pieces with preloading scripts.. for over 10 minutes of music. These solo mandolin pieces showcase some of the various styles of music that feature mandolin playing.
* Bluegrass: "Pilgrim's Knob" and "Methodist Preacher" as performed by Jim Richter
* Classical: "Handel's Pastorale" as interpreted and performed by mandolin virtuoso Evan J Marshall
* Rock: "Over the Hills and Far Away", a classic Led Zeppelin song reinterpreted for solo mandolin by Jim Richter.
Two sizes are included so avatars of varying size will have a mandolin that fits!
Integrated update script system allows you to check for updates to your instrument automatically, anytime.
