Due to limitations on the active number of animations allowed in SL, the Hand Poser HUD may not work in conjunction with other posing HUDs on the market.

New to version 3.2 - Compatibility with Anypose (v1.8 or later) for full body poses! Link at bottom of description.

New to version 3.0 - Mirror feature to copy your left to right hand or reverse. Also added BVH export support (PRO version only)

New to version 2.5 - Thumb second joint twist added (for better Maitreya support), Minimise UI improvements, Preset Transfer Support

New to version 2.0 - More poses, More presets, UI Improvements, Puppeteer feature, custom AO feature! To receive the free update visit the mainstore location delivery terminal.

An unfortunate reality of hands in Second Life is that for too long they have been limited to just a couple of built in poses which can cause issues for great photography or interacting with objects in a realistic manner.

With this in mind I created this Hand Poser HUD to provide a simple and intuitive interface for posing your Bento enabled hands in a position that works best for your needs.

This HUD requires Bento enabled hands to work.

Step 1. Wear the FATE Hand Poser HUD

Step 2. Simply click and drag sliders on the HUD to pose them

FEATURES

1. Save Your Pose
To save your current finger poses simply click the 'save' button on any of the presets. Click the preset button to apply it in the future.

2. Puppeteer
You can now animate other avatar's hands, this is great for photographers with multiple avatars to pose. Simply click the Puppeteer button and select a nearby avatar. That avatar will need to accept animation permissions and also be wearing bento enabled hands.

3. AO
You can now use your FATE Hand Poser HUD as a custom bento hand animation override. Click the 'AO Settings' button and click 'LIST' on the popup menu to configure which preset poses are used in the AO. Your avatar will switch to a random pose in this list during random intervals (as long as the HUD is attached).

4. Minimise/Maximise
The FATE Hand Poser HUD now has more UI control, allowing a full minimise and maximise of the HUD, Hand Controllers or Presets Panels individually to allow for greater visibility, you can also scale the HUD to your own preferences using the build tools.

For best results, disable any built in AO for your bento hands through their HUD or by manually stopping your animations.

Great when it works

Offers an extreme level of detail and customization! You can truly do a ton with this. That said the priorities are too low to override some AOs, which invalidates its purpose in my mind. The two sides don't even seem consistent as I notice the right hand will work in some cases where the left wont, even when both are set to active. Heres a video example of the issue: https://gyazo.com/bfd3c18e3ff3369559c44b0f55b66bff These are using the default poses, not custom ones. As you can see, only the right hand has the priorities needed to properly override an AO.

It works but it's disappointing

Low priority means it will just live it's own life if you're using a pose/pose stand and wanted to adjust some joints. The result is deformed joints that can't be even reset using the ''reset'' buttons in HUD.
The HUD takes so much screen space and it's very weird, starting with that left hand on screen controls your right hand in world (wtf?). The reset buttons are just useless because they don't reset anything, so once you screw up your joints (which is very easy to happen bcs the HUD controls are just not precise at all), you're basically screwed as well with your fingers.
Long story short, if I had known this was such a nightmare to use, I would've never bought it so I can't recommend this to anyone.

Doesn't always work perfectly and takes a bit of getting used to, but man will it save you if it can. Super worth the L, imo.

Not bad but

most of time useless in this state, higher priorities would be better.

Just okay

It's twitchy. Tiny adjustments on the sliders can randomly cause rotations of 30 or 40 degrees on the corresponding joint. Finger joints randomly rotate on strange axis- bending a finger at a joint has too much other rotation involved. To be fair, the short lived Bento version of Qavimator did the same thing, but the only costs incurred were upload fees. On the flip side, anything is better than Avastar for Blender.
