Most flags in Second Life are just static flexi-prims with Wind set up high. This doesn't really produce that waving/flapping style that real flags have. This simple efficient script is intended to fix that.
Just edit your flag and drop this script into the flexiprim itself. That's it!
I use this on a flag on my boat and it always looks great now.
The dimensions of your prim will affect the result. The dimensions of my flag were <0.01000, 1.28711, 2.07506>. Anything close to that should give a nice result.
If your flag is part of a linked set, (such as being attached to a flagpole) then be sure to choose "Edit Linked" and select the actual flag itself before dropping this script into it.
NOTE: THIS IS ONLY THE SCRIPT TO MAKE YOUR EXISTING MODIFIABLE FLAG MORE REALISTIC.
- Just drop into your flag prim
- Your flag will follow the wind still.
- Flapping/Waving flag looks more realistic
- FULL PERM

script have nothing to do with gif or texture. texture prim like normal. is aplly all sides or select face like normal is basic scipt only 1L not fair to give low stars because issue is lack of tex knowledge not script. is great script does just what it say if cant texture both side is your problem not script
Nice script BUT.......
It appears that the gif can only be applied to 1 face only. I have not found a way to apply the gif on 2 opposing faces so it will look like a read flag inworld. If you wanted this to make artwork or pictures where only 1 face is required BUT...... For a script make for Flapping/Waving Flag it NEEDS to be able to apply to two side.
