The Colt M16A2 is a refinement of the prototype design the M16A1E2 which was a further development of the M16A1 assault rifles used in late-war Vietnam. Early Colt M16A2s were produced in semi and fully automatic firing modes, however later models were redesigned to United States Armed Forces specifications to become three round burst instead of full auto; the reason given to conserve ammunition. The M16A2 has a much heavier barrel than the M16A1; thus it can better fire 5.56 x45mm NATO without over-pressure as well as keep the barrel from heating up during continous fire as fast as a hinner barrel, something that vastly improves accuracy. The M16A2 replaced the M16A1 in US service around the mid-1980's and was used extensively in all armed conflicts that involved the US up to more recent times; though today the M16A2 is in reserve use only as it has been replaced by M16A3 and A4 rifles which are more readily capable of attaching modular accessories. None the less, the weapon is very popular on the global arms market and is in production in many different nations around the globe; it is currently in use or has been in use with the following nations: Canada, Denmark, El Salvador, Greece, Indonesia, Korea, Iraq, Lebanon, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Pakistan, Phillipines, Somalia, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and the United States.

Firing: To fire the gun, simply enter mouse view mode and left mouse click. Holding down in automatic will fire until the left mouse button is released, semi automatic will fire once per mouse click.
