Although funny at first the joke quickly wore thin then caused concern - this item appears to have a secret built in 'breeding' option and ended causing a lot of damage to a Sim just to remove all the hidden away balls that appeared, angering the creator. More spiteful than funny, I recommend you use it on land which auto-deletes things such as this after a set time.

This fart bomb is funny but watch where u do it cuz it don't shut off by itself and u don't want to pick up 40 hidden little balls to get it to stop!!
