This is one of several Fine Art photo-manipulation works that I have created for you to enjoy. Almost all of these works are based on SL photography I have taken at the many amazing publicly accessible and viewable sims within SecondLife.

I continued my exploration of another of the amazing cluster of SecondLife sims created by a group of fantastic builders within SecondLife called the "Forest of Lothlorian". This themed sim is called the "Misty Mountains". For all my fellow SecondLife Residents, here is the SURL link to this sim:

Actually, the sim itself is a deep dark lush mist covered mountain where you can walk through these forests (or even rent a horse and ride through them), BUT, the photo I took and manipulated was actually taken from a high cliff of the Misty Mountains looking over the sea to another of the themed sims... a GREEK sim called "ARMENELOS".

You can clearly see the signature white-washed cliff-clinging greek structures on the far island that makes up the center of the photos.

The sheer misty / haze over the sparkling sea waters between these lands was breath-taking to me. I had to capture it. The problem I had was that the moving beauty my eyes witnessed while standing there just was not as stunning on any photo I took. I struggled for days on this manipulation to draw out my own form of breath-taking view that the original photo didnt capture.

This is what I created. I massively accentuated the skies and the rising sun glow and the mists. I wanted to give the aire of deep dark undiscovered hidden forests where the photo was taken from - so I darkened the nearby surrounding vegitation and added several tints of browns and yellows into the original pure light green vegitation.

This photo is a FIRST for all my photo manip's because I used two of my own custom textures in this 8 layer photo manip. The two new textures were created from Real Life photos I took with my brand new Nikon D3100 DSLR camera and 18-270mm lens ... which I am so proud to say was completely paid for from revenue generated from my SecondLife Sculpty Landscapes Store! I just got it this week so I am on a mission to create tons of my own textures in an effort to reduce my dependeny on other artists works/permissions.

The two textures used in this photo manip were of a whispy cloud and a clipped photo of my kitchen floor tiles! Yes, I took a photo of my kitchen floor :)
