-Weimar Republic Flags-

The black-red-gold national flag and colors of the German "Weimar Republic" were adopted with the new constitution of 1919. The new flag was a compromise in many ways. Centrist parties favored the new colors; the right preferred the older black-white-red flag, the left an entirely red flag. The flag remained controversial throughout the period until in 1933 the government formally abolished it, replacing it with the black-white-red colors and the Nazi Party swastika flag. The black-red-gold flag was adopted again in 1949 as the colors of both West and East Germany.

-Operation-

Three versions of the flag are provided for buildings or other places where they can be rezzed. Because of the way the wind and flexible prim physics work, these work best when placed in the rotations specified on each. Thus if you want a flagpole that's straight-up-and down, use the "vertical" flag. If you want one that's horizontal, use the "horizontal" one, and so on. All flags are copiable and modifiable to scale to fit, and by editing the prim of the flagpole you can stretch it if needed. The "wearable" flag is smaller and intended to be held by an avatar. Just right click and "wear" it. It will automatically attach to your right hand, and by clicking on the flag in your hand you can turn a flag waving animation on and off.
