So not worth the money
Sure it's a demo, but a very bad selling tool. The forms are clunky, even with a reasonably high LOD, and that's an issue, because lag is such an issue with any SL sailing. But then you get behind the wheel to find a camera position that is deeply unpleasant. Yes, it's close to where your head would be in a real boat, if your head were clamped into a vice and you were wearing blinders. Face it, we have offset cameras for a REASON. And lastly, it's just kind of a crappy ride. The movement is VERY jerky, it can't cross a sim border to save it's life without a HUGE jerk and spin, and it uses race car engine sounds that utterly lack the deep throaty roar one expects from a boat of this size and speed and has no spray sounds or visible animations (remember you can barely see the boat, so maybe there's something there, I have no idea). Possibly the WORST vehicle experience I have had in SL. Yuck.
