To have it work properly you need to wear 2 items:
- Plain : dedicated to background color
- Pattern : dedicated to pattern.
Always wear Plain first then Pattern

Not only is the customization awesome, but you can technically upload your own designs onto the design layer. It's very OP and I absolutely love it!
