The Greeble Foundation Kit is an efficient and low-impact modular sci-fi kit designed to be easily modifiable for use in various futuristic builds as gantries, catwalks, scaffolding & platforms.
A number of ready-to-use pre-built structures are also included to both demonstrate what the kit is capable of, and to save time.
The Foundation Kit is designed around a 4x4x4 metre cubic grid. This size was chosen due to several factors, including Second Life's parcel sizes, and the need for flexibility of rotation.
PLEASE NOTE that this product is also included bundled inside some Greeble products.
Some familiarity and understanding with building and modding is recommended to make full use of Greeble products.

FAQ/Notes
Modding
Most of the components in the Foundation kit have been designed to be easily modifiable inworld. The textures are typically pale and neutral-toned in order to be best tinted inworld. The faces of most of the meshes have also been UVed in such a way that the textures can be replaced and adjusted by users inworld without too much issue.
Technical Specs:
Permissions: ✅Modify, ✅Copy, ❎Transfer (The scripts are no modify)
Shading Model: Physically Based Rendering, with Blinn Phong fallbacks
Linkset Accounting Model: Current (Land Impact)
Version Notes:
Aug2025 - 3.0 Release
- Complete overhaul of all textures from Blinn Phong to PBR. The PBR materials are now included (mod/copy/no-transfer). All objects should have correct fallback materials.
- New components, including rooms, corridors, plates, gantries, lights.
- All objects now have inventory thumbnails. This should allow for easier browsing when trying to find that specific component.
- Rebuilt pre-built structures with new components, materials & reflection probes.
- With PBR materials being included, some redundant components have been removed as they were simple retextures which should now be possible by the user.
- The Gantry & Pre-assembled components categories have been merged. Some redundant individual objects have been removed, these still exist in the f-kit, but as part of pre-assembled component linksets.
- The adjustable script in some components has been removed, as it does not currently work with PBR materials, we hope to reintroduce this at a future date if it becomes functional again.
Nov2023 - 1.1 Release.
- Rebranded from Gantry System to Foundation Kit (F-Kit).
- Added numerous components, including rooms, corridors, plates & doors.
- Upgraded pre-built structures with new components.
Apr2023 - 1.0 Release
Apr2023 - 0.2 Beta
- Documentation Added
Apr2023 - 0.1 Initial Beta

The Perfect, Multi-Purpose Modular Sci-Fi Kit
Being a sim builder and event coordinator, modular kits have quickly formed entire swaths of my inventory. But something that was always missing was what I've come to deem the 'everyroom'. Everyday sci-fi walls, floors and ceilings that can easily be adapted to a wide variety of builds.
This is the everyroom of sci-fi kits. I use it constantly.
I have a lot of praise for how well made this is, but I'll condense its highlights into a list.
・Low Land Impact: And I don't say this lightly. This kit's mesh and physics are so well optimized that you can turn entire space station wings and towers into just 20 to 30 LI when linked. Want to go bigger? You'll genuinely be shocked how little LI this kit takes up when you build truly massive. This is a must-have for builders on a land impact budget.
・Snappable Modularity: A great many build kits unfortunately don't properly size or center their pieces, or make corner pieces rotate around an axis properly. Not so with this kit. Pretty much everything snaps together on the build grid with very little effort. The stairwell cube is the exception, only because how it's made makes that difficult to achieve.
・Texture Modularity: Not only does Greeble include a wide variety of textures to label your wings and rooms, but several parts of the newly updated PBR kit let you cycle through texture variations simply by changing the values on individual surfaces. Turn lights on and off simply by colouring the emission section!
・Clean Texture Swaps: Want to use your own textures? These walls, ceilings and floors take the textures extremely cleanly. I sometimes put painted murals on walls and leave the materials over it. Highly recommended.
・Pre-Made Structures: I'm always a fan of premade assets, and this package is full of them.
・Affordable: Dude there's so much stuff here.
・Isil Compatibility: And finally, one of my favorite features. This kit pairs beautifully with Isil's build kits. You can buy adapters separately.
Cheers.
Only wished it was released sooner
I have needed something like this forever.
Glad to see you back Greebler.
