The Giftboard is a promotional device designed to give out one gift per person (an object you have copy and transfer permissions for) until the preset limit of gifts is reached. Optionally, it can automatically restart.

The Giftboard is basically a fancy one-item-per-person gift giver. I wanted to give out a limited number of items that I made that were set to no copy for the buyer, in order to promote a new product and "seed the pot" to generate interest, but only wanted to give out one package per person - so I built the Giftboard.

The Giftboard is designed for a single item of which you have copy & transfer permissions for. You set the number of gifts you wish to give out in the object description field, and place a single item in the Giftboard. Then you place a texture for the gift in the board with the same name as the gift plus " PIC" at the end. The first time an avatar touches the board, they are given the gift object. It only gives one time, until it is reset.

I included a freebie wholesale full perms gift from a freebie mall so you can see how the Giftboard works. Open the Giftboard, and drop in the included object "Landscaping Set Box" and the texture "Landscaping Set Box PIC". Then you can turn on the board from the owner menu. Only you, the owner of the Giftboard will see that menu.

This Giftboard is designed ONLY for one object and one matching picture. It will not load without the picture. If you don't have a picture, just take a snapshot of your item and add it! Make sure you name it exactly like your gift object and append the single space and the capital letters P - I - C to the name.

The board has TWO modes. By default, the Limited mode, which counts down the gifts handed out and then stops. You, the owner, can touch it for the owner menu and activate the Auto mode, which automatically resets and starts over after it reaches zero - so if people want another copy of your item they will have to come back and check to see if it is reset again.

The board keeps a list of the people who have taken a gift, and you can List these avatars from the owner menu. The list is erased when the Giftboard is reset, so if it is in Auto mode the list will be lost if you are not there to check it. The board accepts up to 999 as the amount of gifts to give out. Just edit the object, and set the maximum number of gifts to give from 1 to 999. As the owner, it does not give to you unless you choose to give it a Test Click from the menu. You can turn on/off notifcation via instant message whenever a gift is given by the board.

Group Only mode is enabled and disabled by clicking Group from the owner menu.

The board is modifiable, so you may resize it.

Updates are delivered free and automatically.
