GlassBox package q90c05 Version 1.2

A GlassBox is a mesh prim forming two nested boxes by six inner and six outer faces. The outer faces wrap the inner and when given a transparent texture create an illusion of a box enclosed by ice or glass or glass decorated by text and symbols.

This way one can create an improved product or a package for different things or use it as picture frame but also as part of inworld builds. The meshes were uploaded with maximum quality but with a simpler geometry than the default cube, they still produce a land impact of about 0.5 PE.

1. GlassBox License Agreement

By buying or accepting this GlassBox package you accept the following agreement:

You receive the meshes with full permissions. When you share them, you must ensure that their new owner cannot receive the meshes with allowed copy and transfer permissions at same time.

This agreement applies to every transfer form, if as prim itself, or as content of further object or notecard or linked to another object.

2. Package content

In the package you’ll find 20 glass box meshes, the unpack script, the meshbox and depthtable prims, as well secondary resources required e.g. for help and updates.

The geometry of glass box meshes is simple: The 6 outer and 6 inner faces form two nested boxes. The inner box is for each mesh is 90% as wide as the outer box. The depth of the inner box is different for every mesh: it covers the range of 1% to 100% in 20 steps. The inner box is located exactly in the middle of the outer.

The unpack script has a function of giving the prim content to the owner. Dropping the script into a prim turns it into a product and inventory package. The script is open for an easy setup in-source.

The meshbox is a meshed cube. It also has a lower land impact than the default cube and allows an additional usage, e.g. as a third layer of a glass box or as a simple package box without glass layer.

The depthtable prim is a simple selection tool, intended as help in decision what glass box mesh is most appropriate in given situation.
