Beautiful home but I struggled to connect with it...
I've been using this home for around a year now and it is genuinely a gorgeous home - as is everything by Heima! One of the things I really enjoy about this home (vs the treehouse and craftsman's home) is that the layout is much more standard inside. There's a clearly defined kitchen area, bathroom, and living room on the first floor. On the second floor there's a large landing room (I used it as a library) and a small staircase flanked by fireplaces into another room that I used as a bedroom (I installed a matching door). Through the 'bedroom' area there's a staircase leading to a rooftop patio and another that leads downstairs to a second larger patio area.
The details are just lovely and the options for customization are just right. I also love the ability to change the seasons of the thatch and the water that flows around the home. Inside the textures are rustic without feeling dilapidated - something a lot of creators fail to accomplish.
That being said, I do think that the rustic nature of this home made it a bit hard for me to decorate in a modern way. I think if you wanted a fully historic home it would be absolutely perfect! In my case, I like to do a mixture of rustic and modern, and as such I never really felt like I quite got the hang of decorating this home.
Nonetheless, it is still a beautiful home and an easy to work with layout that is worth every penny. I only hope Heima puts out another home soon because I'm always excited to see what they come up with!
