For now LSL scripts can not listen directly to IM, and therefore can not translate Instant Messages. However Q-Translator provides three different tools to handle private translated conversation
1. Private channels: to translate IMs using copy/paste
2. Private messages: an alternative ways to send private messages to anyone within same SIM, you can engage a both side translated conversation (even only you has Q-Translator)
3. Messenger: a working solution to have equivalent of translated IM. Q-Messenger is a communication system to have private translated conversation with someone anywhere on SL Grid. Look at the video.
Fully works in no-script area
If you attach your HUD in a script area and you move into an no-script area Q-Translator will continue to operate. Now the HUD interface will also work as you were in a normal script area.

Hi everybody, I just wanted to write a review on this because II think it is one of the best hud's I have ever used. If you did not know it is also a spell checker. I made the mistake of buying "X-Speller" like a lot of others. They are really missing out on a lot more for their money. And It is much more presentable when it corrects your words. It dose not have all that messy advertisement for the product before you actually get to read the correction results for your sentience. That is one of my favorite features of "Q-Translator". Not only that it is very user friendly, and has more support for translations than others. I'm very happy with this product. I give it 6 stars. ******
Great item. I can understand friends and the features for IMs are useful too. I love how updates are free and that it spell checks before translating. Other features I love are being able to choose who to translate or just translate the whole chat, to turn translating myself on and off, and that it has anti-spam features.
It does have all the problems most translators have (like slang and grammar), but works the best of any I have seen.

Can't say this is the best translator out there, as I haven't tried them all, but its deffinately all I was looking for, and at a more affordable price than some of the competitors that I checked into. Slightly confusing at first, but the help website helped me understand it a lot better. It has been updated to fix some of the smaller issues I had with it, which i brought up with the creator and she helped me out immensely with understanding why I was having the troubles, and even fixed those that were fixable, and even some that were thought unfixable.
Deffinately 5/5 stars.
