For now LSL scripts can not listen directly to IM, and therefore can not translate Instant Messages. However Q-Translator provides three different tools to handle private translated conversation
1. Private channels: to translate IMs using copy/paste
2. Private messages: an alternative ways to send private messages to anyone within same SIM, you can engage a both side translated conversation (even only you has Q-Translator)
3. Messenger: a working solution to have equivalent of translated IM. Q-Messenger is a communication system to have private translated conversation with someone anywhere on SL Grid. Look at the video.
Fully works in no-script area
If you attach your HUD in a script area and you move into an no-script area Q-Translator will continue to operate. Now the HUD interface will also work as you were in a normal script area.

I agree with the rest of the reviews too. This is just well designed, well thought out, quick and accurate. Not that I am complaining, but to me this is unbelievable cheep considering all it has to offer. The only negative thing I could say, and its not really negative, I found it a little difficult to use at first but once I read the directions, hehe, it totally made sense. I highly recommenced this. It's totally worth the money.
Excellent!!! From what I saw at first glance there wasn't much to choose between two or three SL translators and I was finding it hard to make a final decision. Not a 'large' purchase I grant you, but I like to 'get it right'.
Several of them claim to be fast and this one certainly is. I read reviews and tested DEMO's. But, what clinched it for me was the built in spellchecker. My own bad typing often makes my first language (English) difficult to understand so, you can imagine how bad some of the translations can get when the original is wrong already!!!
The Q-translator overcomes this very well and is the only one I could find with this feature.
I found the Hud menu easy to use; easy to resize & easy to re-position as well. There's even a web-page to explain how the translator works for those of us that need it (glances down innocently at my shoes). This was brilliant and a lot easier than reading a batch of notecard instructions.
As a bonus.. a big pat on the back to the creator. She willingly helped me with some questions I had before and after I bought it. Good service seems to be a rare thing to find and it's always refreshing to find. So, well done !!!
This translator is much newer than some of the more established names, hence the lower sales numbers at the time I bought, but I'm sure this will change soon as word gets out.

Excellent! Easy to use, exclusive ad very usefull functions and features. The best transator I have ever used! If I can give a suggestion, buy this one, save your money and get more than the competitors can offer. It has also a very good after-market service if you have troubles.
