Updated for Mono... now holds 40+ employees
Welcome to the In Control v2.0 payroll and time clock system - this timeclock system is designed with two things in mind...
1) Employees should be able to go where they need, without having to worry about being too far and
2) It should just *WORK*.
In Control 2.0 meets both of these goals. You can set the range for as far as you want to go (0m - 2000m), limit employees to your parcel, or the Region you're in. Avatars are paid when they go outside of the defined range.
Daily statistics will be e-mailed to you, or IM'd to you at midnight each day. There's no hugely complicated configuration to trip you up - it just *works*.
To get started with the new system, simply rez it somewhere convenient.
Editing the _config notecard inside
can be anywhere from 1 to 4000000000 meters (which is as high as ranges can go straight up!), or "land" for your parcel(s), or "region" for the entire SIM it's in.
Note - when giving a range - that range will not extend outside of the SIM itself.
Enter an e-mail address if you want them e-mailed to you nightly, otherwise they'll be sent in an IM.
List the employees, one per line, with their pay rate in L$/hr, and their maximum payment per day, separated by semicolons. For example:
Employee=Governor Linden;60;120
Would allow Governor Linden to be an employee, being paid at 60L$/hr, for a total of 2 hrs a day, at which time he would have earned the maximum 120L$.
Once it's configured, employees simply touch it to log in, and to log out and get paid. If they leave the area, they are automatically logged out, and paid.
If the owner touches it - a drop-down menu appears, with options. Turn On and Turn Off are fairly self-explanatory - they allow maintenance on the configuration without worrying about employees messing things up. Turn Off will, as a safety precaution, log out any employees currently logged in and pay them.
Login allows the owner to log in to the system, to verify it works - or simply to help track the time they're spending at that site. The owner, however, can only log in if they are listed in the _config notecard. Logout brings up a list of the employees logged in, so that a particular one can be logged out manually.
Last but not least, Stats dumps a copy of the current day's statistics so far into the owner's chat, but does not wipe that information - the daily e-mail/IM will still go out.

awesome!
Getting it and taking a look at the menu for the first time can be a big daunting with all the options, but with a little bit of patience you soon see how easy the layout really is and how much thought was put into it, its very useful and does exactly what i wanted it to do, and im sure ill find more uses for it yet, love that its copy too! great product, awesome customer service 5 stars
this does not work at all
non of my employee can log in, I filed a ticket, no answer, and then when I logged in, I was told why not, this items server, dont have contact with the internet, so actually you a buying nothing. and dont exspect to get any answer on from there customer service - creators like this should be banned from selling ever again on the markets place!!!! I only gave it 1 star becurse I had to
Non existent Customer Service
I bought this for my club and had trouble with some employees not being able to log in so I contacted the creator via her instructions to submit a ticket- which I did, was instructed to send a copy of the config card- which I did - and 3 days later still waiting for an answer. Weather this is the fault on her end or a problem on my end- It would be nice to hear some feedback and be able to use the product I payed for. I don't recommend this based on the poor customer support and the fact that I can not get it to work for all of my staff.
It Just DOES NOT Work
Hi I never thought it will not work. I tried messaging, sending notecard to the developor But seems she is busy in rl !! No response..
It does not login the employee although it scans !
As long as it is not sorted it is a useless prim to me ! Hope i get a message back from creator or I will have to think of buying something else.
Easy to use 10-28-10
The only thing I wish this did was let you know when an employee clocks in. I like the feature allowing the employees to be paid when they clock out, but knowing when someone shows up for work would be nice.
Update. It took a lot of effort to get a response from Sarah but we all have RL issues and I appreciate that. Anyway, as long as you set the bonus to 0, it works just fine, which is how I wanted it to work anyway. Employees work time, they get paid for that time. Review changed from 1 star (product didn't work) to 5 stars despite the bonus thing. I can't mark that down since it's of no interest to me as a feature.
---
At present it's not working properly. It keeps paying a L$5 bonus every 30 minutes to staff even when they're not in the sim and logged out.
NC'd the creator as requested (I wish people would just take IM's to email).
When it's fixed i'll gladly change the review and rating.
