FREE Newbie helper!
This is meant to help newbies, but anyone can take advantage of the information in this.
This is a NoteCard that i made for a friend to make her entry into SL a little easier.
It explains that "Folders" are the key to make life inside your inventory a whole lot better, and describes how to create folders to help organize all aspects of your inventory to make it easier to find things long after you thought you knew exactly where something was, and now cant find it even by searching by what you thought its name was...lol.
It also explains how to create and save complete outfits in your inventory too for when you just want to "throw" something on without having to try clothes on and mix-n-match stuff when you dont really have the time to search through all your clothes to find something to wear.
Any and all comments or suggestions are welcome to help me update this as i think of more things to add to it.
and, it's Full Perm, so you can pass it along to who ever you want...even You can help other newbies...lol.

Wonderfully well written, and JKat is a friendly and helpful person. I recommend this guide to anyone needing some good tips. There's things in here, that even I, had no idea of. It's a great guide, take a moment and get it, it's worth it if not for yourself, but to hand out to some of your newer friends.
Inventory Organisation Tips
I've been around computers for a while, but I'm new to SL. I got and used this sheet of tips, and now my inventory is much easier to work with. I gave a copy to my wife, and she uses it too! Thanks, JKat!
Very useful advice...
I am a long way from being a Newbie, but picked this up while searching for something else. Like many of us, my inventory was getting out of hand.... I did some of the things recommended, made folders, put things in boxes, etc., but still learned some VERY useful tips that I had never thought of for myself. Thanks, JKat, for making this a freebie.
Good Basic System
Inventory control is the bane of everyone's existence in SL because the baseline inventory panel becomes an undecipherable junkyard rapidly. Whether you're a lumper or a splitter the key to finding anything is to have it in a folder category that will lead you to and not away from it. The tips presented here form the basis of a functional organization system that anyone from noob to seasoned veteran can use. I was struck at how similar it was to the system I've used myself. Lots of helpful information here and you sure can't argue with the price. Whether you prefer a long list of small folders or a small list with many sub-folders is a personal preference, but the suggestions here will get you well on your way to controlling your runaway inventory.

I have been in sl for over a year now.....and always had a problem with the inventory.....but this helped me so much...and i do recommended anyone to try this help she knows what she is talking about..thank you so much it took time but worth all the effort
