Details
A pair of jardinières designed by Jean Demosthere Dugourc, delivered for the decoration of the interior cabinet of King Charles IV of Spain in 1802.
Of triangular shape, they are made in white marble and Bleu Turquin, they are decorated with exquisite chiseled and gilded bronze mounts representing palmettes, olive leaves, lion masks, and phoenix birds, and the central panels with three different reliefs surrounded by four dragonflies
