The mesh subway project is part of an ongoing project for working trains.
This contains a no-modify script, if you have permissions issues please contact me by notecard.
Linking the track pieces brings the track down to .5 prims each! The train is only 11 prims!!
You can walk inside, open and close the doors*, and rez a whole bunch without destroying your prim count.

Nice metro train
I was looking for a subway train to use in my region, as a prop and this fits the bill. All this for 11prims per carriage too.
The doors work nicely (and this train gets updates too so it seems) so it'll work as a prop and as an obstacle (train-wreck) for the region as well. This is a very good build and the textures are good too. I'm thinking of adding graffiti texture prims to it to "mess" it up a little as it looks too clean/new for what I'm using it for and it's now in a rather large hole in the ground.. full of debris etc for a part of the theme we are working on.

Wow just wow.
Mesh has opened up some amazing possibilities never before seen on SL. Something like this, looking this amazing was never possible before now, at least not without tons of prims and sculpts and it still would have been crap. 11 prims for a high detailed subway car, and 2 prims per tunnel piece, for this price is definitely worth it. Hopefully one day this amazingly detailed train will be mobile :)
This is the best thing ever.
I can't believe how cheap this is, and how amazing quality it is. Especially for one of the first MESH creations on the grid. This just is amazing, I would recommend this to anyone who wanted anything
