Want to double check that your mesh body, hands, feet, and head are (or are not) able to use these files to "hide skin"?
Some bodies describe themselves as BOM, but can only use System Clothing Layer Files (e.g. pants). Others described as BOM can use both System Clothing Layer Files and System Alpha Files.
There are some ways to tell of course, like whether the body part seller included an "Alpha Hud" in the purchase bag/box.
But the only real, fast, reliable way to tell, is try a system alpha file on, and see if part of the skin is invisible! And so, I made this bag of quickie Alpha file swatches.
When you add them: Try on each alpha (wear a bathing suit or in a private place if you prefer), one at a time. There is a reason I have included each alpha-swatch file: Some bodies are built with a combination of "split parts", and other bodies are all-in-ones, etc. So testing each "part" included in this bag is important to get to know "your" avi body. IE if you only try a single alpha swatch from this bag, but your body is a "split" body, then each split body part may be different. So one at a time, try on each one swatch included >> look at your body "skin" in that area (remove all mesh clothing) and make a note/notecard "Am I Full Bom?", and write it down. In the future you save yourself a good deal of time doing so.
In this DEMO bag:
* Four Alpha Swatches: Torso, hands, feet, and Head. 4 Zones.
Wear one/all the files to check the targeted body part visually. You may need to remove your hair, and/or your mesh clothes to see if your skin disappears.
*Note 1: It is possible one body part may be a YES, but a different attachment (e.g. your feet) may be a NO. Try on all four and check visually, to be fully aware of your avis full Bomability! It is just that easy to know ahead of time, whether my system Alpha Files (or any I make special order for you or for your fav outfit!) will work on your avi.
Note 2: If you wear a Slink Physique, Hourglass, or Male Redux (full BOM all-in-one bodies), My alphas will work by themselves. AND additionally my Alphas will also work in conjunction with the "edge edit" sliders in your Slink Physique/Hourglass/Male HUD. Yes, the wonderful Siddean Munro retired her Slink mesh bodies January 2023. But I suspect they will last their wearers for many happy years to come as-is! I have all three Slink bodies, and FYI I will continue making items for all three into the SL years ahead. If you have one of the Slink bodies, let me know what you need, and I will see if I can put it together for you, including Alpha files and apparel. Again, on those bodies, alphas work as-is, no hud needed. But your Redux HUD with your Redux version of the body gives you an *additional benefit*. If you want the edges of alpha files to be a bit long/shorter, you can also use your sliders to edit the alpha edges a bit. HUD sliders to edit the edges of specially created Alpha Files only come with Slink Redux Physique/Hourglass/Male bodies.
*Note 3: Bodies include arms and legs (sometimes with/out hands and feet). In these Alpha File DEMOs, if Alpha Files work on your Torso, they work on your arms (to just above the wrist) and on your legs (to just above the ankle). Your feet and hands may (or may not) be different, so test those separately.
*Note 4: Recall that BOM Alpha Files make skin invisible, and never mesh clothing or hair worn over the skin. Remove all mesh, and sometimes hair, to test. These files make it quick and easy!
