<KK> Jousting Lance

For the use of this joust lance there is no combat meter required. If you hit your opponent the lance breaks and shouts the name of your opponent. You can adjust the heraldic color of your lance.

(For the use of this item you need a horse (wearable as an attachment), which is not included in this box. You can get jousting horses for a low price at my shop or my items on XStreetSL, too.)

It is recommended to use your lance in mouse look. Since you need to aim along your jousting lance you need to see it un mouselook. (with default preferences you can not) To make your lance visible in mouse look, open the preferences of your SL viewer (Ctrl+P), select "camera" and activate the checkbox "see avatar in mouse look". Now you should be able to see your lance in mouse look.

How to use
-------------

1. attach your horse
2. attach your jousting lance and your hud
3. use "always run mode" (toggled by Ctrl + R)
4. click your left mouse button to lower your lance
5. adjust your lance to the position your want by clicking the arrow buttons on your hud.
6. aim along your lance on your opponent and ride.
7. if you have hit your opponent your lance breaks; you get a new one by either clicking onto your broken lance or facing a lance rack and clicking your left mouse button (for the latter you do not need to leave mouse look)

changing the lance colors

Wear your lance and hud, and click onto the "c" button of the hud. A menu appears, where you can select a heraldic color (red, green purple, black) and a heraldic metal (silver=while, golden=yellow). After your choice the lance changes its texture.

Difference to other lances
------------------------------

The main difference is, you can secretly adjust your lance position in ride mode (lance stays vertical), so you opponent can not see your adjustment and does not know your plan. The lance tells you the adjusted position in owner-chat. As soon as you lower your lance by mouse click, it will take its adjusted position. It is recommended not to lower the lance before the start signal sounds, so your opponent will be surprised.

Another difference is: after your lance brakes and you renew it, you do not need to adjust it again. You will start in the same position like you did before it broke. If you want to reset your lance to the default position, just click the center button on your hud.

The lance also counts, how often you've hit your opponent.

The hud always shows the adjustment of your lance.
