Keeper's Krew Productions Presents: The Brawling Ki-Master, an original fitted mesh baro't saya, a traditional form of Filipiniana attire by KeeperS Karu (Keeper S. Karu). To try the mesh outfit, you may either purchase the dollarbie Casual Line version of the outfit titled "The Casual Brawling Witch," or stop by the shop to pick up the freebie version as a group gift (be sure to have the Cosplay Co-Op group tag active). Please note that they are NOT demos, but are fully wearable outfits that are a part of the Casual Line of clothing, set to a very special price.

Ki-Masters are Psis who use their abilities to enhance themselves, rather than manipulate the environment around them. While they have many practical uses, this ability is most famously known for its use within combat. This particular Ki-Master is among those who uses her skills within such a context, preferring to use her own body as dangerous weapons. She's a master of unarmed combat, a brawler un-rivaled, but because she makes use of Eskrima (alternatively, Escrima), a martial artform that is a part of her half-Filipina heritage, she is more than capable of being just as deadly with melee weapons, as without. To celebrate her mixed heritage, she wears, as her Signature fighting garb, the traditional Filipino baro't saya, in colors and patterns that also recall her Black-American ancestry.

Should you decide to take The Brawling Ki-Master's story to further depths, you will receive the following:

1) Fitted-Mesh Baro, Sleeveless
2) Fitted-Mesh Kimona, Sheer
3) Fitted-Mesh Saya/Palda*, Pleated
4) Fitted-Mesh Saya/Palda*, Circle
5) Fitted-Mesh Saya/Palda*, Mermaid
6) Non-Rigged, Resizable Mesh Tsinelas

7) Operable Fitted-Mesh Handwraps, A Weapon For Unarmed Combat
There are two sets of handwraps that employ basic melee weapon scripts, as well as animations from my Eskrima animations set. Activating and deactivating the handwraps can be done using the included gestures, or by saying "/5 ready" or "/5 stand down" (without the quotes, of course) in chat. For those who prefer combat in the First Person (termed "mouselook" in SL), the basic controls for these weapons remain the same. (I.E. Hold down the left mouse button while using the directional keys to trigger the attack animations.) However, I've tweaked the weapon scripts so that they are capable of being used in Third Person (my preferred viewpoint). Because the left mouse button is needed for "mouse steering," I opted to use the forward directional key as the key to use in combination with the other directional keys to trigger the attacks. The forward key can be used for a weapon swing, if the player double-taps the key. There are two sets of handwraps because I know that some sims allow for the use of push-enabled weapons, while others don't. So, one set of handwraps is push-enabled, while the other is set is not. Please see the download instructions PDF, below, or the notecard included with the outfit, for further details concerning these weapons.
A) Push-Enabled Wraps=Brown
B) No-Push Wraps=Orange

8) No Updater Object.
Since I've migrated over to Caspervend, there is no longer any need for updater objects. I have the ability to simply send out, to anyone who has purchased my products, any updates to my products that I may make. Please note that, for clothing, only the Signature and Garment-Maker's line will receive updates.

The Copy/Mod version of this garment includes full permissions UVMaps of the mesh, so people may make their own custom textures for The Brawling Ki-Master clothing set. People are free to sell the custom textures they make, but please be sure to remember to link back to the copy/mod version of this outfit, so people can obtain the mesh to use the textures with. In either version of the Signature Garment, Copy Only or Copy/Mod, the handwraps are not modifiable, for the sake of Sim owners needing to verify if the weapons have been tampered with.

Hoping you enjoy your purchase and the stories you make with it,

KeeperS Karu

*My own cultural heritage is that of half-Filipina, half-Black-American, and I grew up with my mother using "palda" for skirt. Hence, even though the official description of traditional Filipiana attire is "baro't saya" or "baro at saya," I still think of the word "palda," so I'm obsessively using saya/palda for my word for skirt.
