Kemono body mod: Grid Rider
NOTE: Boots, belt, and avatar are not included; this is only a texture mod for the Utilizator kemono body, it will not work with any other avatar body. This mod only supports the kemono's human legs. a pair of boots are highly reccommended. (iLogic Pulsars are shown in the pics)
FAIR WARNING: this suit requires intermediate modding knowledge such as how to apply normal and specular mapping to objects and how to manipulate specularity and apply alpha modes such as alpha blending, alpha masking, or emissive mask.
All that aside, how many of us remember the days when clothing your avatar was as simple as reskin? None of the compatibility issues that directly followed the mesh-wagon. Avatars with rigged bodies suffer from even more compatibility issues than clothing. I present to you something of a band-aid solution to the ever present issue rigged mesh presents.
We, here at Sku/Ba products, present Data Rider. A bosysuitsuit inspired by TRON Legacy. To use the glowy bit, rezz out another body and apply the texture to said body. Keep alpha blending and add glow (0.25 recommended) to keep it visible. Unfortunately I can't script so you'll have to rezz the body on the ground every time you want to tint the glowbits. Includes identity disk (not throwable mesh nonrigged).
- Textures and materials for your kemono avatar
- Universally compatible with all kemono bodies and parts that follow common UVs
It's a wonderful item, but
The alpha layering is so complex, I tried everything to get the glow to look right properly on each layer, but it just ended up clipping on some parts. But I give the regular outfit part a 5/5. Maybe I'll figure out how to put it on correctly.
More work required than advertised but worth
So I'm pretty sure I did everything right by the instructional card but even then some of the textures around the legs were...wrong. By this I mean that the leg part of the light/symbols do not show and I came up with a creative solution by making certain parts of the legs transparent and non-transparent through the "Select Face/Edit Linked" option and I had to do the same for both layers of this outfit. It really bothered me that everything wasn't working as intended but despite that I finally have it looking as the product image displays the outfit.
Also for anyone that doesn't know I'm PRETTY sure the shades in the image are the "Kani Shades" for 50L. Brought em and they've worked if not resembled the advertisement very closely.
