The Ktaba 20 Teleri is inspired by the racing sloops of the early 20th century that dominated the eastern seaboard of the US, with sleek, graceful lines, long overhangs, and a 3/4 fractional Bermudian rig. The IOD class was developed as a standard "racing class" that would allow boats of different designers to be raced against each other, hence the name "one design". Because of their long overhangs, an IOD's waterline increases by about 50% when she heels over, thus increasing the hull speed, and racing performance. Some of the most famous and treasured sailboats from the golden age of sailing are IOD yachts, and many were built by the most famous yacht builders and designers - Herreshoff, Shields, Sparkman and Stephens, Alden, Luders, and Borresen, for a short list. The K20 Teleri MX is powered by both the WWC sailing system, and the B-wind sailing engine, modified tastefully by an expert scripter-sailor to closely mimic the behavior of a real racing sloop. She carries a skipper and two crew members, and features a low-lag, low-prim design that includes:
* mesh construction
* WWC or Bwind
* crew controls and balancing
* luffing sails
* wood trim
* windvane
* sculpted main, jib, and spinnaker
* custom-fitted textures
* custom animations
* a package of hull, deck, and sail textures so you can customize your look
* various innovations (mainsheet, billowing sails, new algorithms "under the hood")
Feature-for-feature, the K20 Teleri stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the finest racing yachts in SL. A customized Teleri drew the highest bid at the 2012 Sail4Life auction - $58,580L!
Note: The Teleri is delivered in a scale model of the hull and cabin. To unpack it, right-click, and select "Open". 28 prim/ 55 LI

Excelente!!!!!
This is very good boat. I noobie sailor so I have lots to learn, but I am able to sail the Ktaba 20 Teleri with ease. I had things to know so I contacted builder and he was very kind and supportive. It is very realistic boat. I mess up on sails and they make flapping noise so that is very good. The look of this boat is fantastic! The size I love most it fits because I am not super hero avi :) and most of all I can find mi boat easily when docked at any pier because it does not look like everyone else boat...yaaay! Kudos to builder and I hope to see more
Good looking boat...but....
I am sorry to say that this boat was little disapppointing for me. She looks very nice but there are some strange things. First the prim count, It says 28 prims but in world it are 55 prims ! I can hardly rezz it on my 512 parcel..such a relative small mesh boat should have less prims.
And then there is a quite exaggerated weather helm and when on downwind she starts to swing like a surfboard.
I am afraid I won't sail her very often :(
Sailing Perfection
I am amazed at the level of attention given to this boat - she's perfect. I've never sailed a boat in sl that felt more like the real thing than the Teleri. I think Ktaba just set a new standard for sl sailboats. She's fast, responsive, and obviously scripted very well. She crashes so seldom you can sail all day without noticing the passage of time. She's easy on the eyes too, and gets a lot of compliments from other sailors.
Like WOW!
This vessel for sure kicks ass :-D
Perfect design and lots of nice Details. Eye candy.
Intelligent scripts and a very easy to handle HUD.
Please build more like this! Its a real enhancement to the kool Trudeau boats.
