Larsson Dental Treatment Chair For Caring Dentistry Role Play Version 2.6

I made this simulated dental chair for those seeking various medically related items to provide a more complete range of services and enhance their SL role play activities.

I based this mesh model on the most popular styles of reclining dental chairs. It should nicely fit the proportions of most avatars, but there is also touch to rescale should you desire to use it.

I made the dental patient looped animation specially for this chair. The patient sits and looks upward toward the dental exam light overhead. The light turns on and off when you touch the light bulb inside the light fixture. You must have SL advanced lighting turned on by checking that box in the advanced graphics tab of your viewer.

The dental patient's head and body remain still during the looped animation but I made small hand and foot movements in the animation loop to reflect how patients might move slightly during exam procedures. AVsitter can be used to adjust the patient position if needed.

Importantly for rp realism, while still remaining reclined the patient can open and and close his or her mouth by touching the colored cup on the tray at the base of the light stand.

Also on that tray is a dental drill or cleaning instrument depending on your role play. There is an identical wearable dental drill included in the box. It will automatically be held by the dentist's right hand when worn.

I made a special looped animation for the dentist. First wear the dental drill. Then to sit.you carefully just touch the drill located on the light tray right next to the box of drills. You will then see the on-screen AVsitter dentist menu.

Select the "Dentist" menu to go into the exam/treatment menu in which you lean toward the patient reaching to touch the chair with your left hand as you raise your right hand with the drill toward the patient's open mouth, then you slowly and carefully move the drill inside the patient's mouth, then you withdraw the drill as you step back slightly. This is looped so you can continue with treatments in accord with your role play scenarios. The movements are of a slow and caring nature. AVsitter can be used to adjust the dentist's position as desired.

You can set dental chair for your group member use by touching base of chair. Touch anytime to toggle group or owner only use, To help you there is owner private chat message giving reminder to go into edit mode and use general tab to select group name to assign to bed. Then be sure to tell group members to wear group tag in order to use the chair in the role of dentist. There is a box of dental drills on the tray and when they touch the box they will each receive their own drills to wear and use with this chair. Group members can sit on chair as patient without group tag but must wear tag to be in full control and use dental work animation.

Out of the box the dental chair fits in a space that is 1.5 deep by 0.9 wide by 1.9 tall. I found this to be ideal but you can easily use touch to rescale as needed. It is made of my original mesh and has a land weight of 40. This may seem like a lot of weight but realize there are many details to the shape of the model in order to provide an authentic appearance and allow for various textures on the mesh faces. It is as copy only device specific to dental care and will not allow you to add other animations.

At present this item features only the colorization you see in my photos. Teal is probably the most widely used color for dental care and is supportive of welcoming patients to a nicely colored yet calming dental suite.
