Larsson SnowCat Skid Loader Picks Up and Places Snow Version 4.2

This is an operating SnowCat skid loader you can drive and use to move and place scoop fulls of snow anywhere you have rez rights.

There are seven forward speeds and one reverse all appropriate to skid loader operation, although top speed may seem faster than expected (use when rushing to clear a road somewhere!).

Wear HUD to control skid loader position and place and pick up scoops of snow.

You can dump scoop full of snow onto ground from upper level scoop position or push snow onto ground (from down scoop position). Please see HUD for icons that show scoops of snow (green boxes) being dumped or pushed onto ground (icon column on the right).

Raise or lower loader with no snow load on it (see left side icons on HUD).

Raise or lower loader with a load of snow on it (see middle column of icons).

Once you have placed scoop load of snow somewhere you can leave it there. You can then go back and scoop snow up again. Position skid loader to pick up snow and give pile of snow a little push as though you were operating real skid loader. Load of snow will immediately appear on loader scoop and disappear from where you left it. Then just drive away with snow. Go dump it somewhere else!

Role play possibilities are endless. Develop a winter scene with all kinds of snow piles and use of this SnowCat to move and place mounds of snow where you would like them. Limitations are your rez rights of course and number of prims you are allotted. You can use SnowCat to pick up any snow loads you place, and you can just select and take them or delete them just as you would any object you create.

There are two special scripted piles of snow included in box (2 prims each). They are 5 by 5 meters on ground and about a meter high. Rez them on places where you want a pile of snow, and level to ground the way you want it to appear as it blends into ground. Place as many as you like consistent with prim allocation you have. Now you can have vast areas of snow you can bump into anytime you want with an empty scoop and it will load up with snow for you. Then go place load anywhere you can rez.

Notice you have a blue menu of options when you bump pile of scripted snow. With this menu you can manage size of the pile as you take scoops away from it or even as you dump scoops onto it. Have fun with this option, the possibilities seem endless.

Touch red and green buttons near steering column to turn spotlight headlights and rear lights on and off. Be sure to use your viewer preferences to enable Advanced Lighting System to see illumination from these lights.

Touch gear shift lever to get viewer on-screen rescale menu. Use AVsitter menu when you sit if you need to adjust your sitting position.

There are also four driver views you can select using open chat or /3 private chat!

Key "v1" to easily get to view from behind SnowCat anytime.

Key "v2" for view above and behind driver shoulders.

Key "v3" for driver eye view showing scoop in view when both on ground and raised.

Key "v4" for wider scene view behind and just above loader.

Have lots of fun with this! I had a great deal of fun making this working SnowCat skid loader, it is my original creation and combination of original scripts. Land weight is 38 if you plan on leaving it out.

For starters, especially if you don't own land in SL, go to the Zermatt West Alpine Rez Zone in the Linden Winter Regions (http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Zermatt/22/94/83). There are many roads and trails and lot's of wintery terrain... you can have a blast driving around and stopping at rez zones to move snow around. Enjoy!
