This porcelain vase in the form of an urn, with openings in the lid, is intended for storing pot-pourri (scented mixtures made from dried herbs and flowers). This vase with a circular cross-section and a body expanding at the top is covered by a lid with tear-shaped openings (Picture 12), crowned by a handle in the form of a flower bud (Picture 15). In the lower part, handles in the form of lugs rest on the gilded heads of figures (Picture 13). The pot is supported by a stand with a shaft, on a square base (Picture 14).
The entire surface of the vase is coloured. The gilded edges of the vessel, as well as gilded ornaments in the form of diverse motifs featuring floral patterns, contrast the background. The vessel’s body features a rectangular field with an idyllic landscape depicting an adult man with a child, against a background with nature (Picture 10).
