Accidents happen daily. We're never sure when that day will come when we won't be able to login anymore. My time in SL (nearly 9 years at this point) has made me wonder what would happen to my account, the profits from my business, or how I'd let my partner or friends know that I wasn't coming back.

The LazyGuy - AfterLife Messaging System will email or instant message (your choice) an avatar after a specified number of days of being absent from Second Life. This is useful for sending a friend a last word of appreciation or a loved one 1 last message for closure. There is also an option to leave your account password along with the message so that your account and all your hard work associated can be left with a family member/friend/loved one. (**Keep in mind, If your payment info is setup, handing over your account password will allow access to your rl funds via buying L$**)

The messenger will count down (from the number of days specified) each day you are absent from SL until it reaches 0 (or until you login in, which case the count is reset).

When the count reaches 0, the afterlife messenger will send your message 7 times (once per day for 1 week) to ensure your message is received. At the same time the messenger will show in hovertext you haven't logged on in the specified number of days to serve as a visual alarm. The hovertext can be removed with a simple click by anyone only after 7 days so that it can be left out as a keepsake.

The dialog menu explained below.

(1) Recipients email or avatar key. - Selecting this will bring up a textbox in which you can submit the email address or avatar key of the person you wish to receive your message (*Do not press the "Enter" key when trying to submit. It will add that keystroke to the address/ key and will be wrong*) . If you have submitted an avatar key the messenger will send only Instant messages to the recipient. If you submitted an Email it will send only emails.

(2) Number of days until you are presumed dead. - Here you can submit the number of days that you need to be away from SL in which you can safely say you're not going to be logging on anymore. (as a precation, the number must be higher than 6 [default is 365.. I recommend +/-30]). Remember to rez this in an area that will be around longer than the specified number of days.

(3) Message to Recipient - This is where you submit the message you would like to send after you are unable to login anymore.

(4) SL password - This is an area to submit your account password if you want someone to inherit your account. This is completely optional. If you decide to leave it blank, your message will include " Password was not included. (default)".

(Name) - You can submit the name of the recipient here. When the messenger is clicked it will temporarily show this in hovertext along with the number of days remaining and the power setting (ON/OFF). The purpose for this is, if you have been away for awhile, a person can click the messenger and know if they are the intended recipient and when to expect a message or not. If a name is not submitted it will read N/A in the hovertext as recipient.

(Settings) - Pressing this will read back all of your settings to you. The messenger uses Instant messaging so you will be the only person to see the settings.

(ON)/(OFF) - Power buttons

Reset - Resets the entire messenger to default.

Close - removes the dialog menu, stops script from listening, also removes hovertext sooner than the timeout preset written in the script.
