LogSpark Josephine Hat - Cowboy Cowgirl Western Hat

LogSpark Western Hats have a menu driven system that allows you to choose from 12 different colours, both for the hat itself and for the hat band. You can mix and match these at will to create the look you like. Both the hat and the hat band may be set to the following colours:

Black
Brown
White
Tan
Grey
Blue
Red
Green
Purple
Yellow
Orange
Pink

To give your hat a little more individuality, there is also a menu control that allows you to tint the hat and get even more control over the colours. You can also tint the Hat Band to fine tune the colours there as well.

Second Life hats, however fabulous they may be, are notorious for not fitting over our wonderful Second Life hair. Or is that “our wonderful Second Life hair is notorious for poking through the fabulous Second Life Hats?” ...either way, this hat's menu system also allows you to resize the hat quickly and easily in increments of 1%, 5% or 10%. And if you get into a muddle, you can just reset it and start over again!

Q. There are a multitude of choices when it comes to Western Hats in SL. So what makes this one different?
A. Well it's got a menu driven changer that allows you to choose from 12 different colours.

Q. Well, I already have a colour change hat, all that is erm... pretty old hat now. What else?
A. A menu driven changer that allows you to choose from 12 different colours for the hat band.

Q. I have a colour changing hat band too. Does it do anything else?
A. How about a tint control, also in the menu? This means that you can vary the combinations into well in excess of ten thousand colours.

Q. Wow! Really? How many exactly?
A. Yes, if you multiply it out there are 12 colours and 12 tints, so 12 x 12 = 144.
There are then 100 different shades, so 144 x 100 = 14400.
Of course, to be realistic about it, many of those tints are going to be too dark to tell apart and many more will be too close to tell. But even so, there are still hundreds of possibilities.

Q. It says that your hat is No Mod. What if it doesn't fit?
A. We got that covered in the menu system too. You can increase or decrease the hat in increments of 1%, 5% or 10%, giving you very good control over how well it fits you. There is even a pose built in so that your avatar remains still when you are adjusting the fit.

Q. So all this scripting, isn't that really laggy?
A. No, quite the reverse. There is only ever one listener running for the menu system and that is removed after 30 seconds of inactivity. So most of the time the hat scripts are idle. Of course, any script has an overhead, so if you are really conscientious, you might consider setting the hat up and then using the “Finalise Hat” option found in the Hat Size and Hat Tint menus to remove all the scripts and fix the hat's size and colour.
