Periodically, a random "Magic letter" is selected - if somebody sits down whose first name matches the current magic letter, they win a (owner-supplied) prize. So, for example, my name is "Shep Korvin" ... if the magic letter is "S", and I sit down, I win the prize ...Simple!
Here's the clever bit: Statistically, it's unlikely that the "correct" letter will be showing when a given visitor arrives at your store. Visitors are therefore encouraged to teleport their friends into the store, to try to claim the current prize and "nudge" the magic letter onto a new value.
