This unique 2-door sports utility cargo delivery jeep has been specially designed to travel SL mainland roads and off-roads. It is speedy with carefully designed scripting and vehicle geometry to give you highly reliable fun on and off roads. Quite likely it is best handling vehicle in SL.
Version 11.0 released released on May 1, 2025. I made the license plate changer easier to use and included a sample blank license plate template so you can use it to easily design your own plate name.
Mainlander is very popular with SL drivers. I have continuously updated it with features like my exclusive "active steering" feature. And now you can choose to operate with either front wheel steering or all wheel steering.
Inside box are two vehicle options. One is preloaded for current GTFO! (v1.9.2). Second has no GTFO! stuff inside for those who just want to have fun. GTFO! specifications are: Jeep | Capacity: 1 Crate (10 FU) | Overhead: G$0 per km,
Mainlander uses my own scripts written by me. I never go near the store-bought generic vehicle scripts. No other SL vehicles offer my original scripts carefully tuned for mainland driving. Nor do others have my vehicle geometry. No other SL vehicles give you this superior combination of stability, driving ease, and smoothest region crossings.
Driving parameters have been carefully tuned for success on mainland roads and even most surprising off-road challenges with stability on steepest hills and even rock climbing to offer maximum success completing most challenging routes. To select handling characteristics key words 'city' or 'road' or 'track' in chat or /2 chat. My special handling algorithm will also automatically adjust handling according to vehicle speed levels.
There are 12 forward gears (5 to 60) and one reverse. Use on-screen jump up and crouch down arrows on viewer to change speeds. You will see owner chat message telling you (1) gear numbers as you change, (2) gear power, and (3) my active steering coefficient.
Mainlander features my exclusive "active steering" scripting to help you handle roads as your speed increases. You will be surprised and pleased by way vehicle deals with rough terrain. This jeepster will handle very extreme terrain conditions.
On rezzing, Mainlander is set to front wheel steering. Use chat or /2 private chat to key "aws" so that the rear wheels also steer to assist in terrain such as rock climbing. Key "fws" to return to normal front wheel steering at any time.
Key 'hold' or 'release' in chat or private chat /2 to use the cruise control at the speed you select.
Key 'stop' or 'start' in char or private chat /2 to turn engine on and off.
Driver sits by clicking anywhere except the two passenger seats. Front seat passenger sits by clicking on the front passenger seat. Back seat passenger sits on cargo crate. Driver and passenger seats all adjust with AV Sitter.
Visibility of cargo crate is controlled by loading and unloading automatically by GTFO! HUD as you accept and deliver freight assignments. However, you can control visibility of cargo box yourself anytime by touching it.
Lights work with SL Advanced LIghting System. Touch yellow button on dashboard to activate. Activate advanced lighting in viewer graphics preferences to use this feature. You will hear electronic sound to confirm you have touched buttons. Front and back turn signals are controlled by your turning controls as you drive.
With Mainlander you control view you want. Key "v1" for standard behind vehicle view, "v2" for view just behind driver, "v3" for white knuckle driver view where you see steering wheel turn as you turn, "v4" for nifty center windshield view (use this view to see your rear view mirror while driving), and "V5" for a wowser elevated view from behind. Now you are in total view control at all times.
Touch rear license plate to easily change plate anytime. I loaded three sample plates to get you started. Touch the plate for on-screen menu showing available plates to choose.
You can make your own 1024 x 512 plates (copy only is fine) and drop them in contents tab of license plate. You can have 12 plates and limit texture names to no more than 12 characters long so name will appear fully on menu button. I've also included a plate template for your use.
To sound horn key a "b" in open chat or "/2b" for private chat.
You will hear engine start sound when you sit to drive and exhaust will appear at exhaust pipe. Over road engine sound begins when you drive vehicle forward or back. Idle sound and exhaust ends when driver stands.
Currently there are 12 color choices: nacho, sky, pink, fire, berry, gecko, yella, metal, forest, ocean, ghost, and darth. Key color name in chat or private chat /2 to change color anytime.
Touch rear suspension under vehicle (rear axle differential) and rescale menu will appear on viewer screen.
Thanks and stay safe!

Great Vehicle! Fun and Handles Well
So I guess I'm writing the first review. The short version is Buy it!. At the price, it's so much better than any ACS scripted vehicle I've driven that it's a no brainer. Even if you don't do GTFO this is a great vehicle, It's mod so you can get rid of the crate if you want. Otherwise, this handles incredibly well, crosses sims incredibly well (even at higher speeds), and looks good doing it. It doesn't have working dash instruments, but how often do you actually use those. If you just want to hop in a vehicle and have fun exploring the Linden roadways, I can't think of a better choice than this. The Logistar box truck is very similar in scripting and also highly recommended if that's more your style. Better yet, get both.
