This sword design is based on a weapon featured in the Anime adaptation of Sword Art Online. I really liked the style so I made a version for SL.
In the anime it is referred to as a "player-made weapon" created by a user named "Grimrock", there is nothing particularly unusual about it, aside from how creepy it looks.
Please note, the sword is not scripted.
