MirrorScript Symmetry Tool v1.3 by Tsarina Mint
This tool mirrors both linksets and single prims, as long as you have the appropriate permissions (refer to Section 3 below). Simply drag the script(s) into an object to mirror it.
*A mirrored object is simply the reflection of the original object in a particular direction. For example, mirroring a left shoe will turn it to a right shoe.
NOTE: This script does NOT work with mesh.
1. FEATURES
- Mirror in any of 3 directions (X, Y, Z).
- Works for just about all normal and "tortured" prims, except for some issues with the "dimple trick" (correctable manually) and revolutions - refer to section 2 below on Limitations.
- Works for linksets with flexi-prims.
- Works for sculpted objects (requires full permissions).
- Mirrors textures and colors as well (requires full permissions), even with hollows, profile cuts, etc... Flexible option to NOT mirror textures (faster, but may result in textures being in incorrect locations in some mirrored prims).
- Easy to use - Rez a copy of the object, drag the provided script(s) into it, click on the object, and select mirror direction.
- Easy and precise alignment of mirrored objects to match their original counterparts.
- Maintains linkset order.
- Multiple objects can be mirrored at the same time.
- Option to remove scripts automatically after mirroring
- Free script upgrades
For known limitations, please refer to section 2 below.
THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT COPY OR CREATE OBJECTS, NOR DOES IT MODIFY OBJECTS' PERMISSIONS. IT SIMPLY MIRRORS AN EXISTING OBJECT.
----------------------------------
2. KNOWN LIMITATIONS
1. Small prims created using the "dimple trick" (now known as slice), will not have the dimple values carried over due to SL scripting restrictions. It is quite easy, however, to adjust the mirrored prim manually (instructions included in the product).
2. The "Revolutions" attribute of prims (only torus, tube, or ring) must be a whole number for proper mirroring (e.g. 4.00 is fine but 4.30 is not).
3. The MirrorScript does NOT work correctly on mega-prims (mega-prims turn back into normal prims) due to SL restrictions.
4. The MirrorScript does NOT work correctly on mesh.
----------------------------------
3. REQUIRED PERMISSIONS
You MUST have modify rights to an object in order to mirror it using this script.
It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you have the copy rights to any object that you intend to mirror so that you can make a backup of it before mirroring.
FULL PERMISSIONS are required for the mirroring of TEXTURES, as well as SCULPTED objects. This is because Second Life does not allow the reading of textures of any object that you do not have full perms to, including sculpt maps. If you wish to mirror an object without mirroring its textures , you can omit the Texture plugin (however, it may result in textures in the wrong faces of the mirrored object). Unfortunately, this still does NOT work on sculpted objects to which you do not have full perms.
----------------------------------
That's all. Have fun using this script - I hope it makes your building experience a far more pleasant one :)
- Reflect prims or linksets about an axis (e.g. left shoe becomes right shoe)
- Works for most normal and tortured prims (please see limitations)
- Mirrors sculpties, flexi-prims, and textures (requires full permissions)
- Maintains linkset order
- Free script upgrades
Amazing...
... And even that doesn't describe this tool. It was taking me hours attempting to get sculpted ears aligned in perfect rotation/orientation. Just before I started pulling my prim hair out, I discovered this. It instantly became my best building friend. Thank you, thank you, and thank you Tsarina Mint!
yayyy
I had to thank this creator because this script mirrored my 3232831239123 prims shoes so quickly AND it also mirrored my textures, I cannot believe my eyes, hahaha all creators must have this ^-^ thankyuuu!
There Is No Compare
I've used literally every other prim mirrroring tool on the market, including the highly esteemed "1200L" version and none compare to this.
For the scripts that auto-kill themselves when the task is done, alone, is worth this price. "The other" one does not. Not only do "Set to not running.." and "remove scripts in selection" both fail with many of the competition's products, but I also didn't have to either use a prim-cleaning tool (another scrip and another purchase) or manually remove a script from each prim - prim by prim by prim. When you make 250 prim jewelery, this is a blessing in itself.
By how I've gone on about the auto-delete of scripts you'd think there was no more selling points for this, but it's just the case. That you can load "plugins" to mirror the texture precisely (optional!) and other is fantastic. More control for the user, for you.
And it's literally drag and drop usability. Duplicate your object > Grab the Mirror script, your needed plugin/s (texture one here, always) and dump them into the linkset and touch it. Done and auto-cleaned. That's really it.
So, while a bit verbose, I give heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the creator and for this product as it truly has saved me - and will continue to save me - immeasurable amounts of time and frustration. And truly very unlike many others claim.
A thousand thanks and many more smiles for this product. A definite must-have and worthy purchase, at even double the current price (since it does what others claim to do, only better, more effectively and in less time).

You are a Genius! THANK YOU
Just buy it. It works. Saves me HOURS and HOURS. amazing. Thank you!
Nice!
A very nice piece of work. Functioned flawlessly on the build I was working on; just the tool I needed when I needed it. Dirt-simple to use, it's just drop-and-click. A little on the pricey side, but cheaper then many other prim mirror systems on the market. Most definatly worth the money.
I'd also like to add that the customer support is top-notch; when the Marketplace was slow in delivering the product, Ms. Mint IM'd me within minutes to make sure I'd gotten what I paid for. Can't get much better then that. 2 thumbs way up from this reviewer =)
