This is the copy/modify version. The tint controller is also available in a full perm version for builders. See related items.
The controller (3 prims) can adjust the tinting of a window within a radius of 100 meters. You can use your own windows or use the free windows that are included in this box. Each window has 2 prims. If you want to use your own windows you must have modify permission to the glass prim. The script needed is included.
The controllers and windows use chat channels to communicate and you can use as many controllers and windows as you wish on each channel, ie a livingroom with three windows can be controlled from each door and one window in the bedroom can be controlled individually from another controller.. When one controller is used it automatically updates the other controllers on the same channel and they all show the same actual tint setting. There are 11 settings from 0 (all clear) to 10 (all dark).
The box contains 3 sets of one controller and one window using the channels 41, 42 and 43. They are all ready to use as soon as they are rezzed. Just touch the white and black arrows to turn the tinting up or down. When a button is touched it moves and emits a clicking sound to give a realistic impression.
If you want to use other channels or more channels you just rez the number of controllers you need and change the channel number by editing the Description field in the Edit-window. You do the same for each window on the same channel.
The controllers have a lock-mode that only can be activated by the owner. When the lock is on only the owner can change the settings. Each group of controllers can me locked individually. By typing /{channel number}tintlock (ie. /41tintlock) in local chat you toggle between locked and unlocked.
Each of the three controllers and three windows in this box are copy and modify (no transfer) so you can resize them to fit your building. The scripts are all copy only.
How to add scripts and how to change channels to build your own advanced window tinting system is all described in details in the included instruction.
