| The Multi-Updater |
=====================
Thank you for the Multi-Updater. With this tool you have one of the most powerful updater tools in SL. This tool has updated 352 (of 400) objects (1 script) within 160 seconds (with 10 worker scripts)! No other updater in SL can do this and it's free!
I write many tools by myself, some of which also require an update. As long as you can simply replace a single purchased object (e.g. a HUD) without any problems, it's no problem. It becomes more difficult if you have set up many similar objects (vendors, rental boxes, panels, etc.) and they all need to be updated. Then it becomes very inconvenient for the user.
This is where the Multi-Updater created for developers and programmers comes into it. It can update a single object in the same way as over 300 objects in its environment, and at an incredible speed! That should be enough for most applications. If you want to update more objects or need more workers to take over the task of updating, I recommend my paid Extreme Multi-Updater, also available from Marketplace.
Theoretically, up to 350 objects can be updated at the same time, depending on the available memory.
#############
How does it function?
#############
At the beginning, a controller script queries all objects in its environment. All those that respond within a variable specified time are included in a list.
The controller script processes this list and passes each reported UUID to the worker scripts (currently 10), which in turn pass on the scripts to be updated from the script_list to the objects for which they have been commissioned.
Once the worker script has completed the job, it reports itself as “free” and receives the next job until there are no more jobs.

ℹℹℹ Important notes about some security measures against illegal copies ℹℹℹ
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unfortunately, there are not only nice, friendly people in SecondLife, but also those who take the easy way out and want to enrich themselves with other people's work.
For this reason, a few messages and dialog boxes are activated in the Multi-Updater to prevent illegal copying and reselling, or at least to make it more difficult.
I am also informed about every purchase of my products (by Marketplace) and also save these purchases. And I am informed who has used the Multi-Updater and who previously owned it.
All of this is just to protect my intellectual property and to ensure that no one else takes money for it.
I do not send any spam to these people, nor is this data processed for purposes other than the intended purpose.
Anyone with dishonest intentions is hereby warned!

Any violation of this terms will end in an abuse-report for seller and buyer!

Frequently Asked Questions
#################
Q: What if I need to update more than 350 objects?
- Then buy the Extreme Multi-Updater from our store (WooD Creations). During tests with this I updated 1800 objects, then the plot was full and I had to abort the test. However, it is prepared for 2000 objects and even more is possible.
Q: My objects are spread across the entire sim. Do I have to carry out the update process several times?
- No. The updater works with llRegionSay, which means that even an object far away will be updated as long as it is on the same sim.
Q: The objects to be updated are distributed over several sims. Will they still be updated?
- No. Only what is on the same sim.
Q: Why are you giving the updater away for free?
- Because I firmly believe in the existence of free software and that especially the inhabitants of SecondLife are willing to donate voluntarily for a good product. How much the product is worth or what everyone can give is up to the customer.
Q: Can I resell the Updater?
- No, under no circumstances. It may only be passed on as an updater. Then all scripts (except those that originate from you and are to be transferred to your product) must be Copy / No Mod / No Transfer for the next owner.
A violation of this condition of use will immediately result in an Abuse Report for both seller and buyer.
