Completely re-written from the ground-up, compared to my 1-prim script... But like that one, using this script is dead-easy. One copy of the script is placed in any prim and the textures are placed in the same prim. Clicking on that prim brings up a menu allowing you to change the texture on any prim in the object.
Includes 44 full-perm textures and instructions notecard.
If the script and texture are placed in the root prim, then the whole object becomes clickable instead of just the object containing the script.
The script works by displaying a dialogue with the names of all the prims. Users click the prim name and then select a texture. All prims with that name are then retextured. So for example, if you made a pair of shoes with laces, canvas, and eyelets, each piece of lace would have to be named "laces", the canvas pieces would be named "canvas" and the eyelets would be named "eyelets." Then the dialogue would apply your texture to all pieces with those names. When naming pieces, please bear in mind the button length on a standard dialog.
The script ignores any pieces named "00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000" so if you want to make "forbidden" prims, name them that.
At this time, all textures can be applied to all prims.
If you're using this script to texturize your own builds, you can safely remove the script and textures from your builds before selling. The textures will remain on the item.
This version is non-transferable. You can use it to texturize your builds before boxing them (just remove the script and textures when you're done), or as a demo of the full version, which is transferable.
