{NB} Pokki Avatar Basics

After reading the reviews and talking to the maker, they took the time to show this avatar to me in world i personally can say i love it, there is a butt crack if no tail is being worn and as for the overall shape/form of the avatar from head to toe...i just find it endearing personally. This avatar emphasizes on the "cuteness" factor more then the real so dont expect the muzzle or body to be exactly like the typical species found in SL. Love this avatar already and how cute of a fox i am now after just putting it together. The appliers or items you unbox from are so adorable too..their little cute critters you can hold or have one on your head <3 i look forward to seeing what else comes out and im happy to show it off to anyone who would like to see it in world

If you buy this and don't plan on using the tail body or eared head, you're probably gonna run into some issues. As a previous reviewer said- the no-tail body has a weird squashed bum that's really awkward to work with. The legs also have a really weird gap when standing idle, especially from behind, as if it rode horses for a living. The ear seam on the no-ear head is also very frustrating to work with as it still haves the seam for the ears, leaving weird contrasting marks on the head that are hard to texture. The bottom of the head/jaw overall is really flat and has some weird bumps that stick out and are unappealing as well. And for a bento rigged head, the mouth just looks like a simple flappy jaw rather than having some detailed lip movement. It's cute overall but these issues have made it incredibly difficult to mod it into something usable and would be ecstatic if there was an update to the mesh to fix this, but otherwise it's getting 3 stars from me. It's cute, easy to color but only if you're planning on using the tail body and eared head (or have a way to hide the ear seam).

the function of the avatar is good, decent scripting though i dont know much about it so if there's problems with the scripts then i wouldnt notice. and the body is pretty cute, but despite the design behind it being good, there's some aesthetic problems with the mesh.
For one, the no-tail version has this awkward tiny butt squashed between the thighs (dont know why this avatar needs a butt crack)
Two, the head is oddly shaped around the muzzle area which is not something that can be easily seen on the advertisements. Instead of a more natural soft W shape, the mouth is more like a straight line with slight curves at the end. The muzzle also is very thin from a side profile, not flattering for the cutesy theme as it looks unnatural and unsettling when the avatar opens it's mouth(which has jagged shadow map textures inside it and box teeth), like it has no jaw bone. i suggest taking reference from the side profiles of animals with open jaws, chihuahuas perhaps.
There's also some issues with the textures on the no-ear and no-tail versions.
If this is the first major avatar this brand has made, don't take this review personally, they're just critiques. I'll probably be using the body despite the avatar's flaws.
Some suggestions:
A DEMO version, because not everyone is willing to make a risk dropping 900L dosh or more on an av with very little ad pictures on the marketplace and no in-world link to try and at least see the avatar in action before buying it.
A clothing layer for adding shirt textures or things like that would be nice too.

Hope this helps and doesn't come across as harsh, giving it four stars cause the problems i have with it are largely based on aesthetics and not totally damning to the avatar with modding experience.

A friend of mine introduced me to this lil' thing and I have to say, it's one of the most adorable avatars I own. Yes it does have some minor issues but the pawpad issue seems to have already been patched. I'm happy to have this in my inventory. It's versatile and you can give it a lot of personality!
