The NorPhone PBX is a multi-purpose networking tool developed by Northbridge Business Systems for use on the Gentek Telecom network.
ALL NORPHONE PRODUCTS ARE ACTUAL FUNCTIONING TELEPHONES! They are the ONLY phones in Second Life that actually place and receive calls gridwide. You can talk to anyone with a NorPhone using text chat.
The NorPhone PBX is a specialized call routing tool used to create line splitters, phone trees, and holding queues. Incoming calls can trigger multiple phones to ring at the same time (split), be routed to a specific line depending on the caller's choice (dial tree), find a single available line in a call center (sequence), or hold the call with optional music until the "downstream" phone is available (hold). The PBX cannot make calls on its own, and cannot be used without connecting it to one or more other NorPhones.

We use this in our emergency dispatch office so that we can have several business phones hooked up to the same emergency number and also use multiple emergency numbers such as 999 or 911 or 112

If I have many places that I own. I can set up an PBX at one point to set up an call routing to the location. I have many norphone phones to set up the PBX.

Works very closely to a real PBX would, but could do with a few tweaks to better incorporate real functionality, but otherwise makes a great unit to bring multiple phones together to work on a single line (In a manner of speaking)
