Realistic telephone system.

Testing notes:
- This has the same bug/oversight as the Office model where the redial list shows 10 numbers instead of the 9 it's supposed to, which works but doesn't display correctly. In this case it gets displayed as there being two 1 entries (the second digit of the 10 isn't shown)

- I might have liked an option on this and the Office model to clear the redial list.

- The option to display sim time might be a little unreliable. Possibly related to environmental settings, but I had two phones in different regions displaying completely different times, even though it's supposedly global. Oh, and one of them was counting backwards in time instead of forwards... definitely nothing to worry about there at all...

Works perfectly, for what it is, but could be more useful if expanded.

The only issue with these is that the person you are calling needs to be *present* at the location of their phone to receive the call. It's a great RP tool, and can be used for a business to have CSRs in a "call center" to be reached over the network, but to be a useful communication device we'll need to see the implementation of something like NorPhone Cellular that can be carried with you and have calls forwarded to your location (Maybe a small HUD with a wearable attachment that animates while in a call?) when you are not at home/work.

That said, it works perfectly within the specifications of the system, so it's still worth getting even if it's not as useful as it could be with a little bit of extension to the existing system.

I thought I'd check out the telephone hype in Second Life...

...and I must say, I am impressed.
OK, to be honest, I never thought much about having a phone in 2nd Life. I mean, aren't IM's the same? Well sure, they are, kinda--but like many things inworld a telephone enhances your virtual life. After all, IM's are pretty blah, right? Imagine hearing a phone ring, answering it, and then reading the message in chat--and responding the same way? I mean, you are having a real time telephone 'conversation'.
Sure, I can only call other people who have a NorPhone but that's like real life, isn't it? I mean, in RL you can only call someone else who actually has a telephone.
Oh hey, there is even a directory, too--how cool is that?
Add to that the cost of the calls--FREE! Directory listing--FREE! All you have to do is pay a relatively cheap price for the phone--install and configure it (which is SUPER EASY)--and you're all set!
Fun! Fun! Fun! Set up your family with phones and keep in touch. It's also GREAT for roleplay and making/taking business calls. It's a whole new level of awesomeness in Second Life.
