I am proud to present the Boardwalk building set.
This is a flexible set allows you to create your own custom boardwalk with ease.
Each piece is carefully design to slot into the next giving you a very detailed and convincing result.
All mesh objects and textures are included and ready to go - just place and position the boardwalk pieces to suit your project.

This build takes full advantage of the power of MESH to bring you an incredibly detailed scene using a refreshingly low prim count.

Great but lacking

I think this is absolutely stunning and I was willing to allocate prims for it, I mean it is worth it. What I don't get is why not make it texture change rather than giving 2 different textured product? I can't imagine having to rebuild the entire thing just to get the other texture. It would have been full 5 stars from me if it was quite simply texture changeable with one click.

Just what I needed

Not gonna lie, building a large staircase takes a bit of time with this set, but when it's finished it looks absolutely beautiful.

Love it but couldn't give the full 5 stars

Looks great and versatile as well, I'd like to see a promenade added to the set though :)

The reason I could not give 5 stars is for the posts, way too short! And if you try to stretch them the shadows go all off :(

Great textures, well made mesh but not very versatile

I love Studio Skye products and have quite a few items I've used for landscaping. I wanted to like this set, I wanted to give it 5 stars but I really can't. I'm trying to be objective by giving it two stars and not letting my annoyance at throwing away 699L factor into this. When I rezzed the pieces, I was excited because they are really well done. Then I looked closer. There is very little versatility and as a boardwalk, this set is quite useless, if by boardwalk the understanding is a promenade rather than a narrow sort of wooden walkway. To make a decent sized boardwalk, I had to widen a section significantly and then copy it twice, making one small section with a land impact of 15. That's without the posts. There's no stretching the posts to fit without them distorting. There is no way to have posts on only one side, as the posts and ropes are all one piece. In order to make use of this for a decent sized, functional boardwalk, I'd be looking at a land impact of about 150, without posts. Since the posts that come with it don't allow me to use them on only one side, I'd have to use other posts. The joints and hardware connecting the posts to the horizontal boards are part of the boards, so one can't really use the boards without posts if one wanted to do so without having it look quite odd. If the posts were in two sections, one on either side, and if the hardware was attached to them and not to the boards, meh, prims wouldn't be a concern since pretty costs, and looking at the prim count of a full sim, 150 for a really nice looking boardwalk might be worth it.

Fantastic if you have a few prims to play with

This set is low-prim, but not ultra low-prim. If you can link the pieces together like a toy train set, it looks great. It's also tintable, in case you want to change the color. I'm using it with similar Linden textures for a wooden sidewalk, stairs & walkway in a coastal region. The details look very realistic.

visually nothing less then perfect

Yes I dare to criticize this most wanted creator. That the objects are visually just perfect will be obvious to anyone I only wonder why the legs or stilts are made so extremely short making it less versatile. It would have made my life a lot easier if they would have been longer or there was a way to extend them
