Like chess, checkers, or backgammon? Looking for a new challenge? Teeko is the game for you!
Invented by the legendary John Scarne in the 1950s, Teeko quickly became popular and was played avidly by many, including such celebrities as Marilyn Monroe, Humprey Bogart, Joe Dimaggio, and Rocky Marciano.
Teeko is a fun and exciting game of strategy and tactics for 2 players. Simple to learn it has a great deal of depth and requires concentration, forward thinking, and intelligence.
Each player has 4 playing pieces. In the first phase of the game they take turns to place a piece on a square of the 5x5 board. Once all 4 have been played by each player the game moves into the second phase. Each player may move in turn one piece to a free adjacent square. To win the game the player must arrange their pieces in a straight line, or in a 2x2 square.
Unlike chess and checkers the starting positions are not fixed, so there is no tiresome reliance on rote learning of opening moves.
NuzzleTech Teeko comes in a solid and attractive setting of a sturdy table and 2 chairs.
