You can have 17 sky platforms with only one prim. The technology is based on a rezzer (that generates platforms by touch or by HUD command) and a time - deleter (if not used, platforms will self-delete to keep prim count low).
The platforms are made very simple, but you can copy the scripts and addapt to your own platforms, with a little work. You can modify the scripts. Each model creates platforms at a distance, up to 4096 meters:
<> A - at every 300 meters
<> B - at every 250 meters
<> C - at every 500 meters
<> D - at every 1000 meters
<> E - only one, at 4096 meters
<> P - made for the 'planetarium, a platform at each planet.
The platforms will self-destruct in an hour, unless you click them when they ring the alarm or you touch the HUD. You can reactivate them anytime if you touch the rezzer. This way, they keep prim count low to only one.
