EMMENTAL PRIVACY SCREENS
These privacy screens can be used along the borders of your parcel - at ground level but also in the sky.
- They can all be scaled to 64 meters. It's best to scale all copies with the same amount.
- They can be combined and mixed.
- There are 21 different layouts: square (four sides), three sides, two sides and one side. All in a high, medium high and low version.
- Their land impact varies between 1 and 20 (four sided high screen, maximum size), on average their land impact is about 5-6 a piece.
- They all have textures for four seasons. You can select a season by using a menu that you get when you touch the object for at least one second.
- Two rock objects can be used to make the bottom of the screens look more interesting. You can rez them and move them to where they touch your land. These also have a menu that you get when you touch them for at least one second. However, the Spring, Summer and Autumn textures of the rocks are all the same.
- The privacy screens use PBR materials that show natural lighting, depending on the position of the sun in the settings that you use. This makes them look like an actual 3D landscape, with more depth than regular flat textures.
- On top of the PBR materials, also legacy regular textures and normal maps are applied to the screens. This way they look good also in version 6 viewers.
- Privacy screens / parcel dividers / sim splitters, place at adjacent parcels
- Rich PBR materials & textures with normal maps make them look like 3D landscapes
- 21 different sizes and designs. All in Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn texture
- With trees, rocks, cliffs on them. For all sizes, mix and match yourself
- Low land impact. can be used at ground level, on sim terrain and in sky boxes
Only useable from farrrrr away
No demo so I purchased based on the other things I've bought from this store. My previous only complaint, as noted by other reviewers of their items, has only been a complete lack of response to customers. Here, the idea of layered privacy screens is good, but unfortunately, when you get anywhere remotely close to the sides, it looks bizarre because you are multiple times taller than the trees. My avie is only 4 feet tall, and I'm still several times taller than the trees unless I stand in the center of my 4096 parcel. The only way around it is to try and cover the bottom 2/3 of the screens with something else, aka a lot of needless, prim-eating work. Just get the skyboxes this store offers. You won't get any support but they do look nice and the proportions are generally good.
Does exactly what it needs to (and a little more!)
The screens do an awesome work of, well, being screens and it's super useful that they are set to masking rather than blending by default, so that there's no odd alpha issues with hair or other transparent objects! The PBR is also a very neat addition that just makes the whole thing pop a tiny bit more.
Pro-tip: If you have the mirror box from the same seller the two work together really well to sell the scenes and make it even more immersive!
