Papa Legba
Legba is the gatekeeper to the spirit world, and he must be saluted first in every ceremony. A liminal spirit, he represents the intersection between God and man, heaven and earth the physical and spiritual worlds. As such, he governs the crossroads, fertility, order, destiny, and creation. A trickster spirit, he is cognate with St. Lazarus, Elegua, Hermes,and St. Anthony of Padua.
