Bento jaw/ voice issues
i love this head other than anytime I use voice the jaw moves. even with turning it off on the hud and even disabling it on my viewer. not only does it not stop moving it also moves up not down so the lower jaw clicks up into the upper jaw. :c this makes me very sad and makes the head almost unwearable
Very good furry bento head with some small issues
So after using this head for a few weeks, making a few different textures, and shapes for it here is my 100% honest (and first ever) review:
It's a good head. I like being able to change the shape and give each one of my Avis a slightly different look (especially my fox and wolf look way different!) It's up to the same quality you would expect from a paws head. and I think the price is well worth it. I feel like compared to the previous non-bento heads it has its own look and feel.
Unlike the Canine Head 2.0 or Maned Wolf Head, There is a totally different texture for the teeth which I found very nifty. This head is very easy to make textures for and apply. I also really like being able to completely remove the eyelashes without a HUD.
My issues:
- The HUD to set eyelids, blink, and blink speed is very slow. One of the slowest HUDs I've ever used. Hopefully, it will be fixed but honestly I only really use it very rarely. So not that big of a deal.
- The Mouth is very wide no matter what I do with the shape sliders the inside of the mouth always seems too wide especially for a canine. The talking animations are not too bad they just feel like there is too much movement.
- The Nose is a little flat and wide but can be messed with using the shape sliders but just not enough in my opinion. The eyes feel small and far apart even after using the slider but definitely not enough to to be a big issue.
Touchy Shape(s) and Basic Feature(s)
Animations are wonky, head and nose shape are touchy to work with, it's kind of Meh - I got a certain shark head for my first 'furry bento' head and ever since I've wanted that kind of polish and features. It might be 1/4th the cost but it's 1/5th the quality. Sorry to leave a negative review, but I don't actually enjoy even using this head due to these issues, it's not "broken" it's just... basic.
Love it
Honestly compared to other canine bento heads i've found (in avatar sets) I love this one the most. Changing head length you can make the muzzle longer, perfect for a fox. Which is what i'm using. the jaw talk is a lot more animated then other heads, that just open and close super slowly. it's more animated and life like. I love it, the facial animations look great with any vista bento AO. Ignore the other reviews, try the demo, decide for yourself. This is a good product.
doesn't look like a canine & bad animations
the head doesn't look like a canine at all, the snout is way too wide and you cannot make it slimmer with the sliders. it looks like a hyena. the jaw animations are horrible.. the mouth is wide open when you use the talking animations. it's difficult to set the jaw to slightly open like in the picture. and like others have said, the nose is just weird...
Head on Jaw appearance...
The head on jaw appearance when the mouth opens is a LOT wider than I really anticipated. I was expecting a similar look to the Canine head before this, however because the demo version does not have animations I could not see that... and I wasn't really happy with the results. That is not to say that the animations are bad, they are pretty good however they don't fit the look that I was looking for. The face looks more like an otter or some other wider jawed creature than the slimmer jaw than I am used to with the Canine heads I have. Just feedback for the future. I still love my other heads and will continue to use what I have and I know that you will only continue to improve.
