Details

Peapod rowboats were rapidly developed along northeast coast of North America during 1800s. They were likely inspired by earlier variations in Europe and North American Indian canoes, but last half of 1800s saw substantial growth in use of this style rowboat from Maine to Massachusetts, often for lobstering. They were also said to be a favorite boat among lighthouse keepers.

Peapods were named for their symetrical "double ended" pea pod shape which also happens to be very fish-like as it moves in water. They were often about 16 feet in length and about 4.5 feet in berth. For SL I scaled this one at about 19 by 6 feet. It comes with touch to rescale so you can easily make it larger or smaller as desired.Touch negative battery pole (the one with black cap) for on-screen rescale menu.

Notice boat features a 100 ampere-hour (Ah) lithium style storage battery wired to a realistic electric trolling motor. Battery has floating text showing gradual battery discharge giving about an hour of use. For convenience, key "recharge" in chat or /3 private chat to restore battery to 100 (Ah). Key "hide" or "show" to control visibility of floating text.

Trolling motor rotates with your steering of boat. Propeller rotates and gives forth both turbulence and some mist when boat moves. There is also authentic electric trolling motor sound when boat moves.

Notice anchor at bow. Touch anchor to activate particle rope line so it appears and becomes ready for use. You will notice particle rope attach itself to anchor. When ready to use anchor say "down" in chat or /3 private chat and anchor will be lowered into water below boat. Anchor moves down several meters below water level while particle rope gives natural appearance of boat attached to anchor. This method seems more natural than using an inflexible prim or mesh rope line. Say "up" to move anchor up into original position while rope follows upward with anchor. Once activated, rope is ready to use repeatedly during your journey.

Nine speed trolling motor ranges from 3 to zippy 21. Reverse is set at 3 knots. Use on-screen jump up and down arrows on your viewer or page up and down keys on your keyboard to change speeds. This is a coastal watercraft not a freight ship so there is no autopilot. Owner chat message tells you gear numbers as you change them.

You see view from just behind stern when you sit. However I recommend using my nicely designed set of five "follower views" that gracefully follow along. Key view commands in chat or /3 chat to use (for example just v1 with no quotes): "v1" is behind and above stern, "v2" is behind and just over back of motor, "v3" is operators eye view, "v4" is midway near bow, and "v5" is scenic elevated view behind looking downward on boat and nearby waters.

You can easily change hull color anytime with chat or /3 chat by keying desired colors from list: white, red, blue, yellow, pink, green, olive, gray, sea, or tan.

Land equivalent weight is 25, and object physics have been adjusted appropriately. You can stand or walk anywhere inside boat, and it can easily carry operator and one passenger. Both have a variety of poses to select with AVsitter menu and positions can be easily adjusted if desired.

I created operator looped animation sitting at stern especially for this boat and motor. Operator can choose among total of 8 animations including checking battery and anchor as well as other sit poses and even fishing, diving and swimming.

Passenger can also choose among 8 animations including various sitting poses, fishing, diving and swimming.

This vessel is carefully designed and sold copy only. I am easy to reach and happy to respond if you do need a special feature, so let me know if you need assistance.

Thanks, best wishes and stay safe,

Lisle
