This resize script will help you shrink multi-prim objects to sizes smaller than supported by standard resizers and manual tools without damaging the object. It also has a petite setting that will get your attachments close to the right size with one menu click, as well as having petite-compatible fine adjustments.

Have you ever wanted to use that nice mod biggee hair, utility belt, fancy hat, or even prim body part for your tiny or petite and thought "well, it is mod, so I'll just edit it down to size" only to discover that the edit tools JUST WONT let you shrink it enough? Even resizer scripts either wont make it any smaller or will make your biggee object look terrible.

The problem is that the edit tools wont let the size of any direction of any prim in an object get smaller than 0.01m, which starts being pretty darn big on a petite. So this resizer script carefully adjusts prims as small as they can go... and does the best it can to keep shrinking every other dimension as needed. The result isn't mathematically *perfect*, but for things like hair, it almost always works so well you couldn't tell the difference. Depending on the item it can do a good job on other things as well (houses, landscaping, vehicles... whatever!)

The script is copy, so you can resize as many different things as often as you'd like. It also works like any other resizer script: it is fast and low-lag.

ChangeLog
1.1: support resizing of single-prim objects, lower resource use, rewritten code.
1.0: initial release

Disclaimers and notes:
1. it works great for many things, but because of the limitations of SL, it will not work very well for objects with very fine details (e.g. jewelry). It will not work at all on rigged mesh wearables of any sort (including fitted/liquid mesh).
2. it now works with single prim objects (as of version 1.1). If you have previously purchased a copy of prior versions, IM Vex Streeter and request a free update.
3. If the object you want to petitify is a wearable, you will need to rez it on the ground to put the script in. Then pick it up and wear it from inventory.
4. It also works for making object extremely large and working around the (now) 64m maximum dimension in the same way. However, beware that limitations in link distance may make some objects fail to resize to giant proportions before any prim reaches a dimension of 64m. Similarly for mesh components, which may exhaust your prim limits before size limits are hit.

  • Resizes clothing and body parts for small avatars
  • Works around 0.01m prim size limits
  • Works on any mod objects except for system layers and rigged mesh
  • Also works around 64m max dimension limits for macro-sized objects

Buyer Beware - Works on LINKED objects only!

Two problems with this script. Cant add it to items that are worn as with other resizers and only works on linked objects...... not single prim objects such as elf or fairy ears. I would have rated it higher however if the creator had mentioned in the ad that is for linked objects only.
