Pinata (boxed)

The Pinata is fun for any gathering and can be used for parties and as a traffic generator for your store. The kit includes a pinata, a prize server, a money giver (optional) and a bat giver. To play, a player gets a bat from the bat giver and wears it. The player clicks on the pinata to take a turn. When it is the players turn they will go into mouse look and try to strike the pinata by clicking the left mouse button. When the pinata is struck, lots of candy and coins pour out. Anyone can then click on the candys to eat them and one out twenty candies will have a prize. Owners can configure their own prizes and decide if lucky coins will pay out lindens. The pinata is great fun at any party with music, sound effects, animations, prizes and a chance to receive lindens.

Getting Started:

Rez all four parts somewhere. The ‘Money Giver’ is optional. If you do not want to pay anyone Lindens do not rez the ‘Money Giver’ and everything else will work fine.

Do not raise the Piñata off the ground. This is very important. The Piñata will adjust its height to each avatar who takes a turn. The Piñata will go up or down automatically for each avatar based on their height.

Each player should click on the ‘Bat Giver’ to get a ‘Piñata Bat’. They will find the ‘Piñata Bat’ in their inventory under objects. Each player must wear the bat to strike the piñata. They should keep wearing the bat even after their turn is up.

In order for a player to take a turn, they simply click the piñata when it is not someone else's turn. Each turn lasts 2 minutes or until the player strikes the piñata. The player whose turn it is, must be in mouse look to strike the piñata.

Enter mouse look by rolling your mouse wheel up, or hit the M button on your keyboard. While in mouse look click the left mouse button to swing the piñata bat. When the piñata is hit, you will hear music playing, crowds cheering and lots of candy will fall on the ground.

The piñata will not allow one person to continuously hit the piñata. At least two people must play and alternate taking turns. The piñata displays the person’s name that currently is ‘at bat’.

The piñata comes with numerous prizes already installed. You can add or remove prizes from the prize giver by editing the prize giver and dragging prizes into the contents or deleting prizes from the contents.

When you rez the ‘Money Giver’, it will ask persimmon to take money from you. You must select ‘Grant’ to allow it to pay money. To choose how many Lindens to give in the prizes per lucky click, put a number from 1 to 10 in the ‘Object description’ of the ‘Money Giver’. The chances are 1 out of 20 (5%) for a coin to give a prize money prize. Do not forget to turn this off by taking it into inventory. Warning: The ‘Money Giver’ pays real Lindens from your account.
